Session #69 · 1925–27

Speech #690098524

I have never known a man who was more persistent in carrying out his ideas. He would sometimes take considerable time to make up his mind on a question. but once his mind was made up. from that moment he was willing to fight to maintahi his ideas. From the time I entered Congress up to the time of his death I served with him on the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization in the House of Representatives. and I have seen him day after day fight perseveringly and militantly for the protection of American ideals in the United States. Early last June. as a member of a congressional committee. I accompanied Judge RAKEA through northern California.
