Mr. Chairman and gentlemen. I would like to call the attention of all Members present to. the fact that the amendment offered and pending. which proposes to do away with the vis6 fee on immigrants. is but the beginning of an asault which we may expect to continue as long as ve require an immigration vis6 of the passport of an immigrant. Should the assault be carried on far enough we may look in a few years from now to a return to the situation by which a person coming to the JNited States as an immigrant need not appear before any United States consul anywhere on the face of the earth. and then all of the efforts
