Speech #680192668

The judges are scheduled for one or two days a week. We have three Judges scheduled one day each week and two weeks during the month of May and two weeks during the molth of June. That is the attention which this county in New York is giving to the subject of naturalization. It allocates a part of the time of the judges to the discharge of this important duty. and it has made suitable provision in this building not only for the work of the county officials and the applicants themselves. but for Federal examiners. if they care to come there. for the purpose of looking into the papers and interrogating those who made application for citizenship. The witness continues: Very often we get two or three weeks during the month of September.
