Further. I think it is a question of economy to.adopt my amendment. because Mr. Husband states that while he couldnot state the exact amount. that large sums were expended in deporting these people. He stated that this very border patrol that we have created had been the means of deporting 6.500 across the Mexican border and.about 35.000 -across the Canadian border. sending them back totheir homes. It costs the Government a great deal of money. but he said he could not estimate the exact amount.
