J. Res. 160) relative to the Inimigration of certain aliens was read the first time by its title and the second.time at length and ondered to lie on the table. as follows: Resolved. etc.. That such persons intending to become immigrants to the United States to whom prior to July 1. 1924. passports had been Issued bearing the genuine vis6s of consuls and consular offlcers of the United States executed pursuant to the provisions of the act entitled "An act to limit the immigration of aliens into the United States." approved May 19. 1921. as amended and extended. who are now detained at various European ports in consequence of the exhaustion of the quotas allocated under said act to the respective lands of their nativity or by reason of the provisions of the act entitled "An act to limit the immigration of aliens into the United States. and for other purposes." approved May 20. 1924. may. if otherwise admissible. be permitted severally to enter and remain in the United States without regard to tle provisions of the aforesaid acts: Be it further Resolved. That section 4. subdivision (d). of the aforesaid act. approved May 20. 1924. shall be applicable to the wife and unmarried children under 18 years of age following to join any Immigrant referred to in said provision who entered the United States prior to
