I am just wondering how we are wandering into these judges. and it seems to be the wore you appoint the more you teed. One would imagine If there was so much truth in the statement made of the tremendous business in thelcourt that the administration would endeavor to decrease. rather than increase. the burdens of the court. Yet recently all naturalization cases were withdrawn from the New York State courts and forced into the Federal courts. At each final hearing Oay. I am informed. there are at least 400 naturalization cases. These final hearing days are not infrequent. I presume that the administration realizes that the Federal judges in the southern district court can take on more work. otherwise why would the administration give them these additional naturalization cases. There probably will be reported out of the Judiciary Committee the arbitration bill. If this bill passes. and there is every indication that it will. it will have the result of relieving the Federal judges of a great deal of civil work.
