I hope the Senator will not take up my time with a discussion of the immigration proposition. I only wanted to illustrate. by referring to this fact. that the President played politics as well as the Senate. I hope that because I have said this it will not be charged that I impute any wrong motive to any President. President Coolidge is only doing" what other Presidents did before. He is doing. however. just what lie charged the Senate with doing.
