A. S. Dillon. appeared for naturalization. It developed that the entire organization was made up of Rumanians born in Transylvania and former subjects of the AustroHungarian Empire. The top sergeant was a fine. upstanding young Rumanian named Rudi Nan. He stood 6 feet. weighed 195 pounds. and was every inch a soldier. The captain was a modest young man who had little to say. but for whom every member of his company showed a deep respect that spoke of his ability as a commanding officer. I was able to piece together the story of the organization by conversation with various members as they were preparing for their naturalization. It appears that they were all from East Youngstown. Ohio.
