I am very glad to hear the report whichthe Senator has read. I will also say that I can not agree with the point of view that is held by some Senators who favor a restrictedimmigration policy on the ground that if we get people from Holland or from Italy or from France or from any other country they will not be as good people as we are. I look at the immigration question from an entirely different point of view. I look at It from the point of view of protection for those who are already here. no matter from what country they came. I do not like the Idea of bringing In a great number of farmers who are willing to come here and live on the basis of a lower standard of living than American farmers.
