The modified amendment proposed by Mr. HARRTS was ordered to be printed and to lie on the table. as follows: Amendment Intended to be proposed by Mr. Hsinis to the bill to limit the Immigration of aliens Into the United States. and for other purpose. viz: On page 12 strike out lines 9 to 22 and insert. the following: "That for the period of 5 years. beginning 60 days after the passage of this act. the immigration of aliens Into the United States is prohibited.
