During all that period there were great shiploads of immigrants coming from Germany and from other European nations. other than England. whose passage was not paid and who were bound out when they arrived at these shores to these landholders for three years and five years. Those Immigrants composed the large body of the population of the Atlantic seaboard in New York. New Jersey. Delaware.
