Mr. Chairman and gentlemen of the committee. it occurs to me that the bill now pending before this body. which seeks to limit the immigration of undesirable aliens into the United States. can well be supported by all who take pride in the high ideals of American citizenship and by all who want to see America saved to Americans. The question confronting us is one grave in import. it affects the whole future course of our country. and strikes at the very vitals of our national life. It occurs to me that our Nation is at the parting of the ways. and the decision of this Congress is epochal in nature
