It is true there was a time when the country needed to be populated. but at the present time the population has embraced such a large foreign element that the melting pot can no longer melt and assimilate the foreign races in this country. and the amalgalnatiop of the foreign races can not take place properly at this time. The more of them that we can keep from coming into the United States the better it is for our country. I am supporting this bill. and if I believed in my heart that the President of the United States would sign such a bill I would vote to prevent all foreign immigration for at least 10 years. Some men are advocating the letting down of the bars to let all foreigners who will come into this Republic. Those people. congested in the large cities of the United States. are becoming a positive menace to our civilization and to our institutions.
