Many of the countries of Europe are sending peddlers. sweatshop workers. fruitstand keepers. street vendors. organ grinders. and bootblacks. mostly nonessential members of their own country. a leech upon the public in this country. And yet it is claimed by some that those of foreign birth in this country have as good or better record than our native people. covering criminals. paupers. and insane.
