I have heard a great deal about the Laughlin report as to who is desirable. I prefer taking our own reports as to desi rabilily. The Secretary of Labor. in his last annual report. in discussing immig ation said: A total of 3.661 aliens were deported under warrant proceedings during the present fiscal year as compared with 4.345 during the fiscal year 1922. These tables prove conclusively that among the presentday immigrants there Is no particular superiority in favor of any immigrant by reason of nativity.
