I am glad to have the chairman make that statement. Members of the committee. I want to call your attention to a clipping from Labor. a paper published in Washington. wherein it is stated: Foreign nations seek to write United States immigration law. Great pressure being brought on Congress to defeat Johnson restrictive measure. Large employers. foreign governments. and socalled alien blocs in this country have turned their batteries against the bill sponsored I1y ALBERT JOHNSON. Representative from Washington. From the TimesStar of Cincinnati. Ohio. of February 10. 1924. I want to read this editorial statement to the members of the committee. and particularly to the gentleman from Chicago.
