Session #68 · 1923–25

Speech #680022682

Mr. Speaker. the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization is not a privileged committee. The bill has been ordered reported by the committee and Is being placed on the House Calendar. A report of some length has been made. I am also introducing a resolution which asks for a rule. This will follow the regular course of the proceedings of the House and In due time I shall appear before thu Committee on Rules and present my reasons for asking for the rule. I hope we can get the immigration bill up in the House for consideration immediately following the tax bill.
