Not being on the Committee on Immigration. I would not presume to express an opinion on that. What I am trying to do is to square myself with that committee and not get into further trouble with them. I was attempting to suggest to the gentleman from Alabama that perhaps it was an act of charity on the part of the Government that they permitted this man Magon to die in prison instead of sending him to his own country where his life would have been taken. The controversy over Magon at the time was between the then Attorney General.
