Well. Martenis came to this country for the purpose of doing something of that kind. but they put him under investigation and deported him. He did make a demand upon Bakhmeteff for the possession of the Russian embassy and for its property. and I will not be positive about it. but he made known the fact to Bakhmeteff and also to the Governiment here that he assumed to represent the soviet government and desired to be recognized as such representative.
