That relates to another bill pIending. showing that the chairlan of the committee is always active. One of the things is not necessarily punishment but deterrent. and when a maim is convicted under the narcotic laws of the Federal Government. or under the State laws. or convicted under the act of October 28. 1919. or under the State laws regarding the sale of narcotics. or violating the prohibition law. and he is an alien. and after lie has served his term of imprisonment. if there is a term of imprisonment. he can be arrested by the immigration authorities and given full hearingsthe evidence will show his convictionand in addition to that. under the act as it is now in existence. the Secretary of Labor must find that such alien is an undesirable resident of the United States.
