They have forgotten that in the Underwood tariff bill. a Democratic measure. they voted for a substantial import tariff on sugar. molasses. honey. figs. grapes. lemons. pineapples. tobacco. household and kitchen furniture. table and kitchen utensils. blacksmiths tools. grindstones. soaps. pens. ink. perfumery. steel and iron. every manufactured article of cotton goods used by a farmer and every article manufactured out of wool used by our producers. while they left on the free list bractically all of the products raised on the American farms and ranches.
