I offer an amendmeat: On page 6. after the word "further." in line 3. strike out all down to and including the word " law." in line 8. and insert the following: The provisions of this act shall not apply to the minor children. if free from contagious disease and otherwise admissible under the immigration laws of the United States. of citizens of the United States . and preference shall be given so far as possible to the parents. wives. and minor children of aliens who are now in the United States ind have applied for citizenship in the manner provided by law.
