Session #67 · 1921–23

Speech #670003462

I have no objection to dispensing with Caleiidar Wednesday. though it is not necessaryto dispense with it in order to bring up the immigration bill inder the ordinary rules of the 1louse. because it need not be called up on a. call of a committee. A call of the committees having been completed. or there being no other bill on the calendar. Speaker Clark ruled. and correctly so. that the House might proceed to other business. There being no other House Calendar business. it would be in order at once to move to go into the Coiiimittee of the Whole House on the state of the Union for the consideration of the immigration bill. I Mr. MONDELL.
