The gentleman from Washington. the chairman of the Committee on Immigration. has just handed in a conference report. and I desire to make this inquiry: The House conferees have adopted a new bill in place of the bill which passed the House. I understand it will be treated as an amendment notwithstanding it is a new bill. and that the Senate bill has several sections. Now. I desire to know. will we have the right in the House. when the conference report is called up. to secure a separate vote on the different sections. or will it be treated as one amendment?
