There Is a scarcity of labor on the farms. It is said that no immigrants are coming here for the purpose of engaging in agriculture. because tlmt is so unprofitable at this time. Mr. President. the fact that agriculture was unprofitable last .year because of the excessive priceswe ha d to pay for labor and materials and the low prices we received for our products. does not at all argue that it will be unprofitable in thefuture. when those conditions no longer obtain.
