SECRETARY. The Senator from Vermont asks unanimous consent that at not later than 4 oclock p. m. on the calendar day of Wednesday. February 23. 1921. the Senate will proceed to vote. without further debate. upon any amendment that may be pending. any amendment that may be offered. and upon the bill. House bill 14461. a bill to provide for the protection of the citizens of the United States by the temporary suspension of immigration. and for other purposes. through the regular parliamentary stages to its final disposition. and that after the hour of 2 oclock p. in.. on said calendar day. no Senator shall speak more than once or longer than 10 minutes upon the bill. or more than once or longer than 5 minutes upon any amendment offered thereto.
