I read: At Southampton and other places visited. the activities of organizations and committees in connection with the movement of emigrants to America arid other places were made apparent. in fact. there appe:red to be as much publicity given and desired as to their labors as business enterprises manifest. They possess headquarters at Paris. Warsaw. Danzig. and many other cities of Europe. The organizations present a complete network. with thousands of aliens in their train. moving from place to place. apparently under their direction.
