Mr. Chairman. every day we read something about enemies of this Government being deported. My friends. while we are enacting laws todeport foreign Bolshevists from our country. let us not forget that we can not deport their ideas. Those ideas must be overcome mainly by education. At this particular time. of crisis the wisdom of Jeffersons advice clearly emerges: S Educate and inform the whole mass of the people. enable themi to S see that It is to their Interest to preserve peace and order. and they will preserve them. We must depend on the schools to help the homes. churches. e and the press of the country to teach our boys and girls that t human liberty can only be obtained and enjoyed through the e means of established government.
