I have only a word or two to say in regard to the bill. and really nothing to say with regard to the rule. IfI correctly understand the limits of the bill which the rule will bring before the House for considera-. tion. my objection to it is that it is not more comprehensive. This bill deals only with exclusion. It does not touch the deportation sections of the general immigration law. I think that the conditions in the country necessitate legislation not only along the lines of exclusion. of stopping these people before they reach here. but if it le not sufficient already. then legislation touching the matter of deportation should be sanctioned.
