He said: I take the position that our duty as citizens stands ahead of any demand of any organization on the face of the earth. The union men. the business men. the churchmen. must. first of all. be citizens. Any man who owes a higher allegiance to any organization than he does to the Government should be sent to a Federal prison or deported. Who dares deny the soundness of that doctrine? What true American will challenge it?
