The gentleman from Missouri was speaking. and said. among other things. this: Let me remind the gentleman that in all probability we would have today two saloons in this Capitol. as we did have for many years. If it had not been that the law which drove the whisky out of the Capitol was not brought in on a separate bill. but was Ingrafted as legislation upon an Immigration bill. and. as a matter of fact. was voted for In derision by a good many gentlemen.
