Now. Mr. Chairman. on tlat testimony. disregarding the papers found on this anarchist. but on his L own testimony. the inspector who heard the case recommended the deportation of the alien. and this is what Commissioner Howe wrote to the (department. After referring to the case. he says. under date of May 22. 1919: This is another of those cases in which it seems to me there ought to be more evidence or a different kind of evidence to support the warrant. The alien does not admit that he is an anarchist. le has not advocated or taught anarchy. but had simply studied it for his own education.
