Tile Second Census. taken In 1800. was an extension of the first. in that it gave Information as to age distribittion of the free white element of the population. and in that the distributioll age was made to apply to fenales as well as to males. But -even this extension did not meet the demands of the most thoughtful and reflective of those times.
