Speech #650273112

No. A person may under existing law be denaturalized for fraud.- A court in New Jersey. in the case of an alien who had been naturalized for many years and who afterwards became proGerinan. held that the mall should be denaturalized. and the court annulled his citizenship papers. because the court said that the subsequent conduct of the man showed that years before he had gained a fraudulent naturalization. and therefore his papers were annulled. Whether that will stand In the appellate court I do not know. but there is no doubt that where naturalization was procured by fraud the courts have held that to be a sufficient reason for denaturalization. Where the evidence is sufficient. even from the subsequent conduct of the man. to show that lie had obtained ils naturalization by fraud. the court would certainly have the right to denatulralize himi.
