I will say. after a further reading of the bill. that I do not know but that the point raised by the gentleman from Kansas is well taken. although I did not think it was at first. For instance. oii line 25 it reads: And shall also require him to take the oath of allegiance to -the United States as now prescribed under the law relating to naturalization. Now the man has to take that personally in the presence of the court. before the court. and if we do not make an exception he would still have to do that.
