Mr. Speaker. the gentleman from Virginia predicates his proposition to dispense with Calendar Wednesday business today largely on the objections that he has suggested to the bill for the deportation of aliens who may claim exemption under the draft. I think the arguments he made with regard to that matter are conclusive. Most of us are in favor of action looking to the enrollment of aliens for service. but all of us. I believe. desire to have the action taken in a proper and orderly way. Steps are being taken by the State Department to bring this matter to successful conclusion by treaty action.
