Chairman. I move to strike out the last word. I can not say that .I am entirely persona grata at the Bureau of Immigration at present. but I do think that a word or two ought to be said as to what they do with this :money. In the first place. I can not entirely agree with the gentleman from Missouri that the people in the Immigration Service are too highly paid. I do not think they are. One of the things that this administration possibly is entitled to credit for is the fact that they did away on Ellis Island with laborers at $50 a month and increased them to a proper wage.
