Session #64 · 1915–17

Speech #640243106

December 19. We admit that the United States has not. the slightest cause to quarrel with Japan. but Japan has very good reason to quarrel with the United States. Every day the American movement against the Japanese immigration on the Pacific coast Is becoming more and more critical. and sooner or later Japan will find herself no more able to submit to the American arrogance with humility. Very few people. and not one American. will. believe me if I state that the Japanese in the United States are being trmtted like cats and curs. nevertheless. I am telling the truth.
