The Canadians have many farm hands among them. and they have been of great help to our farmers in that country. I can. not see what harm it is under those circumstances to .allow. those Canadian laborers to come over the border and help our farmers in the Northwest for a monthi or two. in harvesting and thrashing. Therefore. I think it would be very objectionable to: adopt the. amendment in this form. If it were limited to immigrants from Europe. .I should have no. objection. but if it applies to people coining over temporarily from Canada to work in this country. I should utterly object to it.
