There can be no doubt as to the answer to that question. from my point of view at least. I regard the immigration bill as one of the most important and desirable before this country. Before long I hope to be able to demonstrate to the Senate that the socalled Federal child labor bill is not only the most undemocratic but the most unAmerican measure that ever was forced upon the attention of a great Congress. utterly destructive of American standards and of American Ideals. utterly ignoring fundamental American principles of every kind that were dear to our fathers. and that are still important if the American system is to be preserved to the people of this Republic.
