Speech #640174359

I told the gentleman from Alabama yesterday that I was going to make this speech this afternoon. He is as much opposed to this sort of thing as any alan on earth. I served on the Committee on Immigration and on the immigration commission with hihn. and I know his attributes. I propose to introduce this resolution of inquiry which I hold In may hand. and I suggest to the gentleman from Alabama that lie send it to the department tomorrow to investigate whether the statements I make are correct or not. That resolution of inquiry asks for particularsI will not burden the RlECORD with itas to all nmatters I have alluded to somewhat hastily.
