I believe it is in the interest of America and American institutions. I believe it is in the -interestof the illiterate foreigner who in the future desires to make this country his home. I believe it is in the interest of American workingmen. both native and foreign born. who are now being crowded out of employment by an oversupply of unskilled labor. and. believing this. I shall vote to override the veto of the President. -Let us be men. Let us not only show we have convictions of our own. but also show that we have the courage of our convictions.
