Speech #630275267

And there :are a whole lot of expenses that go along with these public buildings. and sometimes the money is easy to get. I reteniber in the last Congress we allowed for a pnblic building. quite a large sum tdditional for something fancy that halppened to suit the people out in that partictlir locality. oid then when the building was about to be completed it was said to me by a gentleman privately that lie thought we htd ltrxwn away the additional amount. I want the people in 11:1lithiore to have this immigration station. but I do suggest ond believe in all fairness to the city of Baltimore and to the immigrants who land at that particular plce that it is not necessary theft we should build in immigration station there for the amount that is provided In this bill.
