For instance. if immigrants arrive at the port of Now York and are destined to St. Louis or places within that district. the Inspector at St. LoUis is communicated with. and information is secured for the use of inspectors at New Ydrk. In addition to that. we gather information relative to those warrant cases within an entire district.
