Mr. Speaker. in reply to the gentleman from Massachusetts I desire to say this amount of $550.000 is reported upon the recommendation of Mr. BuRNETT. who is the ranking member of the Committee on Public Buildings and Grounds and chairman of the Committee on Immigration. In the last discussion before the committee. after the committee had in person inspected this station at Baltimore and found the condition of affairs there inhuman and a disgrace to this country. when we came back and discussed it In committee Mr. BURNETT stated to the committee that he thought $550.000 should be recommended for the construction of this station.
