Session #63 · 1913–15

Speech #630173237

We have nothing to sell and nothing to buy. We simply want to advance the interests of the South. The question was asked by my friend from Grand Rapids as to why the immigrants did not go on farms. There are two reasons. perhaps. condensed into one. The first is that there iN a map circulating throughout this country showing all States southeast of the Mississippi River printed n the blackest ink of the printer. and at the end of the map are these words: "Do not locate here. they are unfair and unjust. and you do it to your disadvantage."
