But when the call came for men to save the Union. she sent her three sons to the front. and they rendered honorable service. as a soldier should do. The same story could be told of the immigrants that went to Texas. I have read a story of a family who went there in the early thirties. when Texas was seeking her independence. where they fought side by side with the native born. and when this country got into civil war they followed their neighbors and stood for what they believed was right.
