We understand thoroughly and fully and completely now. as much as we shall after this matter shall have been Investigated. that the Supreme Court of West Virginia takes the opposite view. It seems to me. therefore. we are in possession of facts sufficient to legislate with reference to the matter without investigating that particular branch of It. If any of these laws are being violated. if access is prohibited to the post offices. or If the immigration law Is being violated or the antitrust law is being violated. I can well see that it would be proper for a committee of this Congress or of the Senate to go and possess Itself of the facts. but you by this resolution undertake to say that we shall investigate the administration of the law by the courts of West Virginia. when you know of the holding of the courts of West Virginia. when you know the facts upon which those courts acted as well now as you will then.
