Mr. Pou. of North Carolina. now a member of the Democratic Rules Committee. wrote to Mr. Barrett. president of the Farmers Union. as follows. touching " immigration legislation without delay": I shall be very glad to aid In securing the enactment of this legislation. but the outcome will depend almost entirely on the attitude of the Speaker and his Committee on Rules.
