I have no doubt of that. I am not prepared to say I am ready to establish a literary test for immigration into the United States. Some of the men who are a menace to this country today are men who have come here from other countries. not only with the knowledge of our language. but with the knowledge of many languages. who can not only read and write in their own language. but in our language and other languages. but who do not come here for the purpose of making this a better country. but. as has been suggested for bettering the country that they have been forced to leave. They become a danger here.
